Gregory S. Henderson, MD, PhD

Dr. Henderson is the Past President of the American Pathology Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating pathologists and practice managers about innovations, opportunites, and best practices in the business of pathology and laboratory medicine. He is currently the President of PathForceDx, LLC, a consulting company which provides a suite of services encompassing strategic, operational, regulatory, reimbursement, revenue cycle, innovation, and AI data analytics in all sectors of diagnostic laboratory medicine - including clinical laboratory testing, anatomic pathology, and genomics.

Dr. Henderson was President of BioReference Laboratories, from March, 2016 until January, 2018. BioReference Laboratories, together with its GeneDx, GenPath and Laboratorio Buena Salud business units, is a global leader in routine and estoric clinical laboratory, anatomic pathology, and genomic medicine testing. Prior to joining BioReference Labs, he served as Vice Chairman of Outreach, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for Mount Sinai Health System from 2014. In this role, he oversaw the business growth and operations of one of the largest laboratory outreach programs in the USA. He has practiced anatomic and clinical pathology with a specialty in breast and gynecologic pathology since 1998. Over the course of his practice career he was a partner in Wilmington Pathology Associates in Wilmington, NC; Section Head of Anatomic Pathology at the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans; and a founder and partner of Pacific Pathology Partners in Seattle WA.

Dr. Henderson received his MD and PhD degrees at Vanderbilt University. He completed his MD and PhD at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine as an NIH Medical Scientist Training Program Fellow. He did his clinical pathology training at ARUP/University of Utah, and his anatomic pathology training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He did specialty fellowship training in breast, gynecologic and oncologic pathology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
